Blair's Bill is an attack on the poor

From the The Argus, first published Thursday 22nd Mar 2007.

I was incensed to see Cherie Blair visiting Emmaus in Portslade and to hear she is also a patron of that establishment.

Emmaus is an organisation which aids the poorest people in society and helps them to buy cheap furniture to furnish their homes, as any money you get from the social fund is an insult.

This woman's husband's latest attack on the very people the Labour Party was formed to protect, is pushing a Bill through Parliament which will allow bailiffs to break into people's homes.

This is an Act every charitable organisation will tell you will affect the poorest people in society most - decent, working-class people, driven into debt by poverty wages and criminal bank charges.
