Travellers are showing no respect

Abandoned rubbish left by travellers is strewn all over the old Benfield golf course IF G Hinton (Letters, December 7), cared to look at a travellers' site himself, he would see they have no respect for our planet at all.
This picture, taken two months ago, shows just part of their abandoned rubbish on the old Benfield golf course.
It covers the site of strong colonies of the marbled white, meadow brown and other butterflies but I do not expect they will survive this pollution.
