Sweltering hot

From the The Argus, first published Friday 15th Dec 2006.

I was encouraged to read your article (The Argus, November 28), about ways in which ordinary people can diminish climate change.

I am writing to suggest The Argus might run a campaign to persuade owners of public buildings, including the council, to lower temperatures in them.

Examples are most shops, where those who work there wear T-shirts, while customers, dressed appropriately for the time of year, swelter.

If big firms and the council led the way, people would expect to wear more clothes inside and a great deal of energy would be saved.

I hope you will be interested in this suggestion which would doubtless appeal to the large majority of your readership.
