Dome hosts a spring pipe dream

From the The Argus, first published Friday 15th Dec 2006.

May I, through the Argus, put Bert Hobden's mind at rest (Letters, December 11) regarding the Brighton Dome's magnificent organ.

I am greatly looking forward to playing the instrument in two concerts with the Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra. The first, on January 14, includes a performance of the Faure Requiem featuring the Brighton Festival Chorus and the second, February 11, will include Saint-Saens' great Organ Symphony. Both concerts start at 2.45pm.

Furthermore, on March 4, the Dome is promoting "Pipe Dreams" - a spring organ spectacular. It will be my pleasure to introduce two great performers on that occasion. Richard Hills is one of the most famous young theatre organists in the world and will surely put the Dome organ through its paces.

Secondly the great John Mann (Mr Sussex) will entertain in his own inimitable style. This concert starts at 3pm, and details of all three can be found on the Dome's website.
