Where few dare venture

From the archive, first published Wednesday 27th Feb 2002.

Although our police force is nowhere near the standard it used to be, it is one of the few things we really need.

People are all too ready to criticise them for being ineffective but our police choose to put themselves where few dare venture.

We should all take a leaf out of their book and stand up for our rights when it comes to pay deals.
