Clever feat for seagulls

From the archive, first published Saturday 1st Sep 2001.

Jon Spicer and Lindsey Davidson complained (August 29) about seagulls nesting in trees around Norfolk Terrace and soiling their cars.

Seagulls, with their webbed feet, would find it impossible to nest in trees. Other garden birds, of course, do.

Do they therefore suggest we cull all birds to protect their precious cars?
